Art without limits, just possibilities!

Where imagination knows no bounds

The Limitless Palette would like to become a nonprofit organization dedicated to making art accessible to communities that are often underserved in a creative or fine art public settings while nurturing self-expression without limitations, promoting self-determination, and facilitating community connections through fine art and creatively expressive art classes and opportunities.

I believe that every individual should have the opportunity to express themselves so they may better themselves and their mental and emotional well-being. Currently, in Charlotte, NC, and the surrounding area, there are only about 4 art focused programs and studios with opportunities for adults with IDD, mental health, or older adults. Often times people find a barrier when trying to enter these programs due to lack of personal service funding, diagnosis, or staffing.

Opportunities to create art in a welcoming environment and learn new skills should be available to all in a community setting where one can regularly connect with others known and unknown, over a shared interest in making art. Cost, ability, transportation, and lack of inclusive spaces should not be barriers to a human experience.

Why do we need a program like this?

1. Brushing aside restrictions with every stroke

  • Your canvas, your rules! Promotion of self-determination and autonomy through creating personal works of art.

  • Community & social connection

    • An estimated 25.5 million Americans have disabilities that make traveling outside the home difficult.

  • Opportunity to sell, showcase artwork, and work

    • Only 34% of individuals with an intellectual disability between the ages of 21-64 are working, and only 18% are in a competitive job.

2. Emotional Health

  • Art can be a powerful tool for self-discovery, allowing individuals to explore their own thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a creative and meaningful way.

3. Benefits

  • Engaging with art has been shown to promote the brain’s ability to adapt and change in response to new experiences. Making art also benefits the improvement of fine motor skills.

Paint your world without limits! The Limitless Palette will create:

  • Access to art and self expression

  • Job opportunities

  • Community & cultural growth

  • Social connections

  • Community inclusion

Because making art is fun, but what else?
